Hey Chictopians! Hopefully everyone has had a good weekend, we decided to upload in the morning instead of yesterday afternoon (so this is Monday’s outfit), haha. This is our post about the Wear Red, Wear Hope campaign for Chictopia! Hope you all show off your red-colored looks in support for Japan.
Daniel My outfit was slightly Givenchy inspired which seems to sort of be contradictory of the Japan-promoting message of this post but it’s red! haha. Overall though, the look does seem like a very watered down version of the amazing street style in Japan, they seriously have some of the most amazing style there. I’m using a hoodie today that has the US seal on it and I love the bold color and Americana-ness of it. I also love the idea of fashion-enthusiasts wearing “normal/lazy clothing” and bringing it up to a style that actually has some meaning or fashion to it, sort of annoying when people say I look normal just because of the sweater though haha. It’s not normal if you notice! (is what I always say, pardon that cheeseeee).
Iris This dress is the most perfect dress I’ve ever seen. I saw it in the thrift store and was hesistant to buy it but tried it on and fell in love with the sleek pleats and neutral business-y color. The past few days on Chictopia have been filled with that flawless Zara dress which is out of my reach in both price and store-location, and I’m glad I found this dress which is in a similar vein to it because I was dying of need. It was fate, have Chictopian inspiration—will shop haha. For my hopeful-red color, I added my little girl coat with leopard print collar. Kept everything else quite neutral because for some reason I’m really into neutral colors right now like gray, khakis, and black. I’m probably just having an overdose of all the bold and bright color block haha.
