I have had this 70s vintage dress for almost a year now and have never worn it. I wasn’t comfortable with a past knee-length on my body but lately I have been forcing myself to try things I am not comfortable with.
And last night, auspiciously, I encountered a raccoon outside on the side walk. It made me slightly nervous because I know they can be quite defensive and strong.
Later I found out that raccoons, although to most people considered vermin or hats (hehe & :( ), are a sign of interchangeability to and from our many masks; the masks being the different roles we play in our lives. Often we may not even know how many masks we truly have.
Who knows? Maybe I felt comfortable enough to wear this dress today because of that little bandit. I think it looks awesome. Although, I may turn this piece into a romper. What do you think?
Raccoon encounters can also signify letting go of perhaps unneeded excess baggage from our personal past. I like this too.
Silly? Maybe, but I will read into it what I want and take what works.
Over 90° in my hood today. I love it. I was born for the heat. One day I will let the wind carry me to Sedona or perhaps the equator. :)
