My inspiration for this outfit was an editorial with Karolina Kurkova. She played a psycho grunge slash emo slash punk slash everything else of those kinds.
I dedicate this post for Japan Wear Red, Wear Hope campaign. Japan is the land of creativity. The majority of avant garde designers come from Japan. Japanese designers were one of the few first Asian people in fashion. Kenzo, Yohji Yamamoto, Rei Kawakubo, Issey Miyake, etc. were the pioneers for Asian fashion. They introduced the Asian market to the world—which I personally think very honorable.
My heart goes out to all the families and victims of the Japan earthquake and tsunami.
P.S. the title of the post was from a quote by Yohji Yamamoto: “I think perfection is ugly. Somewhere in the things humans make, I want to see scars, failure, disorder, distortion.”
