When I first saw hammer-esq pants flood chictopia, it was a trend that didn’t appeal to me personally. Although this all changed when a good vintage hunting friend of mine handed me these. I couldn’t refuse; I mean they had animal print on them! They were too small for her and are a little too big for me, after some tailoring they’ll probably fit me better. But I was pretty excited to try wearing them out. I got strange ideas putting them on, because the shape is so strange, I think they were supposed to be ¾ pants and are sort of stretched out around the thigh area?! Considering she got these from Newtown in Sydney, I can just image some sort of stripper in these, wearing them skin tight. These would also be the first pair of pants I didn’t have to cut about 10cm of. Note to self, buy strange ¾ pants from now on. I can’t decide if these make me look like grandma, or sexy grandma, different angles lead to different thoughts I must say. Probably not a shape of pants I’d wear for the everyday, but none the less fun to play around with.
