Yes, that Prada dress. The long striped dress seen on runway, the magazines, and the red carpet. It’s become a permanent entity in Spring celebrity fashion with its media appearances. It’s one of those dresses this season that can’t be unseen, like if I looked at it for five seconds in person I’d probably be seeing shades of pink and orange stripes on everything for the rest of the freaking day. Not that I mind.
I’m going to do a brief break down of the dress’s appeal (check the runway photo in the next image):
1. Bright Colors: I fail to like the neon bright colors, but bright hues are a huge trend for Spring—making this lively pink and orange dress a win for Spring.
2. Conveniently placed black stripe: This is what makes the dress appeal to us ladies. Instead of having a daunting, form-fitting dress that would show your lady lumps and (gasp) bumps, this very conveniently placed black stripe makes for a flattering waistline! Good job Prada! They totally expanded their customer reachability by doing this.
3. Sexy Silhouette: This dress is beautiful but it’s also got some sexiness going on with its form fitting silhouette that hugs a woman’s curves. While Hailee Steinfeld (she was born in 1996…I didn’t know people could be born in 1996!) wore this dress and I don’t want to categorize her as one of the sexy celebs wearing it, the rest of the celebrities wearing the dress definitely did it for the sexiness of it. If it were a few inches shorter (no wait, make that a foot) then I’m sure we’d have seen it on Serena in an episode of Gossip Girl. It’s sexy and fun, and who doesn’t want to be wearing something that oozes that?
4. Some Length & Flair: The cute little poofy flair at the end of this dress makes it a bit mod 60s-70s retro and we know you guys love the damn 70s. It’s got the cool vintage feel without being…cheap and worn out. It adds the cool, chic factor and it adds length to the dress which makes it appealing to older age groups. How else can Hailee be wearing the dress at the Oscars and then Tina Fey in InStyle? Tina might be thrice her age for gods sakes!

Now that we’ve gone over the selling points of this dress, let’s answer this burning question: WHO WORE IT BEST? Now, not to say that any of these ladies don’t look great in this Prada dress but we know you all have your favorites!
Amanda Seyfried, Tina Fey, Hailee Steinfeld, Gwen Stefani, or Zooey Deschanel? Vote in the poll!
