I meant to post this yesterday, but ended up going to a cast party for the show I worked on and got back too late to do anything but sleep. (OK, that makes me sound so much more badass than I actually am.)
Anyways.
I showed my fellow costume designer how to do the shredded t-shirt thing, and so on Thursday night we just sat backstage unraveling shirts for 2 hours. I wore mine to school on Friday (with my poofy white skirt that looks like a wedding dress, apparently) and then changed into jeans for the night, to go see the show from the audience along with a couple of friends.
Last night was the final performance, and they gave me a flower at the end which was really sweet. We then spent about 2 hours watching each other re-enact the funniest moments during the past 2 months of working on the show, including the time when one of the walls fell over during rehearsal and numerous impersonations of the director and production staff (memorable line: “I was awkward in high school. That’s a euphemism for unattractive.”). Now my face hurts from laughing so much.
