I wore this skirt + blazer + socks combo to a party on Saturday night, fully aware I was veering toward “Man Repeller” zone, and fully okay with it! I hadn’t yet dared to wear this length of skirt with flat shoes, nor with such an Amish-vibe shirt. But it all came together in a way I liked this time, for whatever reason.
In fact, I liked the look enough that I decided to wear it to church on Sunday too. But I tried to earn a little more wide-spread appeal by pairing the skirt with heels and switching out the bow tie blouse for something a little more basic. The v-neck cut of the tee shirt shows more skin on top, which balances better with the longer length skirt. and the heels elevate the legs and keep the skirt from looking frumpy. So there you have it — two for one.
