So excited for spring so I can wear all my summer hats! I am a vintage hat collector, I love hats, I think I get it from my Grandma, a lot of my hats are from her closet. I love this hat because its so unique with the big flowers on the front. I found it at a vintage thrift store on Polk Street in SF. This hat reminds me of the pink blossoms on some of the trees in the orchards in my hometown. I am so happy that these beautiful blossom covered trees are in my boyfriends back yard, they make for good outfit inspiration. It was so beautiful, there were birds chirping in the tress, little bees buzzing, and it smelled so fresh and nature-y. Its so nice to get away from the city and be outdoors and smell the fresh air and blossoms.
The dress I am wearing is from my Spring 11 collection. Last year I made an eyelet lace skirt and a couple different box top blouses that I would wear together allll the time. That outfit inspired me to make a dress with a similar silhouette for my new collection. I love this dress because it is so casual and comfy. Plus, my eyelet skirt from last year is pretty much worn out from wearing it so much. I have a feeling I am going to wear this dress out by the end of summer. Anyways, I am excited my new bf is a photographer because I plan on updating my Chictopia a LOT more. He is down to take pics of my outfits and it makes me happy that he doesn’t make fun of my crazy hats.
