Hello everyone!! =) I hope you’re well and not sick like me. =’(
This is an outfit i wore for our afternoon hot chocolate. I’m so obsessed with it that i no longer take sugar at home. It’s concentrated chocolate in a small cup. Too small i have to have 3 everytime. The guys in the cafe said i can make it at home if i love it so much. But i said no, i’m not making it at home. When the sun doesnt shine and it’s freezing and i cant shop, what is there left for me to go out for? This sinful chocolate is the only thing that gives me inspiration to go out these days. Anyway, the coat is my official coat this winter. The moment i saw from the runway and about a dozen magazines’ editorials, i swore i will do everything to have it. I went to our branch here where i live and they’re useless as always. They always say things you want will come in 2 weeks, that’s what they always say, come back in 2 weeks. I did not believe them and i was right. I went back just to make a point, it didnt arrive. It’s good that i didnt trust them because we phoned the stores in the UK and one didnt just promise it will come but that i will get the first piece. Only one piece arrived in that store. There are things i know i cannot have, if i cant afford them or there’s just no way i can get them even if i go to every website (Net-a-porter, saks, etc) or every store here and in Dubai. Like that Jean Paul Gaultier long trench coat, ah..just thinking about it makes me want to cry. But as long as the great google search provides the phone numbers and emails, i will try until i know i’ve done my best. And i got lucky with this coat. Now i have other few pieces driving me crazy, and when the stores here say “No, we dont have it.” “No, sorry, we’re not getting that one.” I still ask the same stupid question..Everytime. “But why?” Some care enough to explain why or make things up anyway to justify the fact they have loads of things and failed to have that one particular piece. And some just give me the silent “I dont know” with the shoulders and twisted lips. And what’s funny is that they dont even have any idea of what you are talking about. But there are a few who say “Oh that one. That one with this and that. Oh we dont have it.” Ok, they dont have it but it’s fine, at least she knew what they dont have, she knew i wasnt some crazy customer. =)
Anyway, i hope you like the outfit. I still have people asking me if it’s my husband’s coat and i still make fun of them and say yes.=) Diddy’s hat, Diddy’s shoes, Diddy’s shirt, Diddy’s jeans, Diddy’s coat, Diddy’s blazer..Diddy’s Aviator sunnies..(sigh) The thing is, he’s the one who barrows my over sized shirts sometimes. And oh, i loved one of his fluffy sweaters and i found a way to make him give it to me. I washed it and it shrank! hehehe.=) Yes, Diddy’s coat. I wish more people knew the word “Androgynous”..
