I’m new here. Let me introduce myself.
My name is Sarah, and among other things I really enjoy fashion and photography. When it comes to photography, I find the most interesting subjects to be people…people have so many more sides to them than say, still-life or some trees. My favorite type of photography is fashion photography. I love being in control of every aspect of the photo, which is why I often don’t work with a stylist (I have recently began working with make up artists). In a fashion photograph, you can tell a story that can be as crazy and surreal as you want it to be.
This is from a photoshoot a few weeks ago. The model’s name was Danielle (she’s a 5’7" mutt), and we were going for “indie,” so we used a colorful playground as the location. I had been waiting literally months to use that awesome lollipop I bought while I was in Egypt especially for a shoot like this.
Until now, I have never worked with a stylist, and if it weren’t so costly and time-consuming, I never would. I have two shoots next week, and one of them will involve my first stylist ever.
Those incredible sunglasses are 1970s Balenciaga. I bought them in a small sunglasses store in egypt for a mere $8 because the seller had no idea what they were worth and because the big, vintage look is not trendy there yet.
The scarf I got from a major street market in Cairo called “Khan El Khalili.” I totally love those booties. They look like mary janes with socks stuck in them, but they’re actually just very clever booties ;)
The second and third photos are just some favorites of the day. That purple dinosaur was awesome.
BTW, I totally intend to start posting photos of me. I promise! I got back from a year abroad in Egypt about a month ago. I came home to find that I am jobless and the economy is in the worst condition it has been in since I was born. I have also found a lot of my friends are just not around anymore…some have moved, some are busy all the time with their jobs (and remember I don’t have one so I am bored!), some of the ones younger than me are back in their respective colleges.
All of this means I don’t get out that much, which means no so many outfit photos. Hopefully, hopefully I will get a job soon and that will change as I will 1. Have a place to go every day to make money 2. which i will use in turn to buy more stuff :D

Love this so much!!! This is so creative! Love the boots and scarf!
