During my New York trip, I had the pleasure of meeting up with the ASOS team and got an exclusive sneak preview of ASOS Spring/Summer 2011 collection that hasn’t hit the online store yet.
Their bright and luxurious Spring 2011 collections almost made me forget the winter cold outside—pretty spring color blocking and light shades of pink and yellow, loose lightweight dresses with fluttery and feminine silhouettes—young and modern with luxe sophistication. The ASOS S/S 11 collections are influenced by deconstructed ‘50s style, retro resort wear and ’70’s silhouettes.
I loved seeing the Spring 2011 lines! ASOS WHITE definitely stood out as a bright mod collection with its color blocking in bright blues and whites and mod silhouettes. The ethical ASOS AFRICA collection was a nice addition to the S/S 11 collection with its minimal design details as it consisted of clean lines, simple stripes, white button-ups, and a grey romper.
The new line called THE SALON had pretty, feminine chic dresses that take a lot from the ’70s, redefining the shapes we often see from the decade. Many in THE SALON collection are in shades of nude, peach, pink, with hints of yellow and white. One of my favorites was their beaded cluster dress, a nude dress with pretty yellow and white beaded flower detail all over to make for the perfect Spring cocktail dress. Check out the second photo to see the dress!
British e-tailer ASOS is a personal favorite of mine and I’m sure is a favorite for many fashion bloggers—definitely one of the best online stores out there with its high quality clothes and accessories with a very friendly (surprisingly small) price tag! If you aren’t familiar with the store, I highly recommend that you check it out!
Check out my favorite Spring pieces, and some of the photos from their SS11 lookbook!
Don’t you wish they made a store near you? A girl can dream.
