This season Tory Burch outdid herself. She described her collection as “English country dressing translated through American sportswear.”, but it was so much more than that. From the clothing to the makeup, everything was on point.
The collection had a 70’s boho vibe mixed with a pinch of downtown cool and a dash of preppy. She brilliantly reworked tweed, patching it, fringing it and paneling it with leather to achieve that effortless boho cool that she is known for. I was pleasantly surprised by her use of plaid and the daring ways she mixed it in with the rest of her collection. Although I loved every look, my favorite moments came from the scarf printed palazzo pants and maxi skirts that fluttered as the models walked the runway.
With a collection like that under her belt, I can only hope that Tory continues her world domination. And hey, if Kanye West sat front row, she can’t be that far off.
