Happy Valentine’s Day Chictopians!
I love how weighty knits ground airy chiffon. The only words I can describe my method of modeling this midi skirt is a dance into Ophelia-like lunacy minus Hamlet. Said dance would probably go to the rhythm of this: Lemonade by Big Weekend. I bought the skirt at Monki- coincidentally the leopard print ‘top’ you see is also from Monki but it’s actually a dress. Yes I’m wearing a skirt on top of a sheer dress which has a tank top underneath. Was going to also wear a hat in addition to that chunky cardigan (the only item I got at Seoul Fashion Week) but decided that was borderline bag lady crazy.
When I was a kid, all dresses had to go through a twirl test to see if they had enough pizzaz to withstand ‘Ring-Around-a Rosie’. These skirts remind me of my elementary school teachers whom when we sat at her feet, could only see a puddle of fabric as she read a story to us. Hence my grandma school teacher look.
I said I was going to post photos of the party but my apologies, that’ll have to wait till Wednesday after I process them in Photoshop/In Design: I can tell you now it involves a lot of pink, marshmallows and cream. I know, you just can’t take all the estrogen.
I’d love to hear from Chictopians at my blog!
