I’ve been searching for an oversized envelope style clutch for the past few months. Admittedly I’ve been influenced by a local Hong Kong period drama set in the 1940?s at the time when China was subjected to Japanese authority. The main character, looked super chic in her cobalt blue capes, finger wave hair and boxy clutch bags where she would smoothly pull out a silver revolver from. The drama is called ‘Rosy Business 2? for those Cantonese readers- and yes the title is a little sketchy sounding in English.
I realized how deliciously freeing it was to not have a shoulder bag constantly swinging by my side. I’ve been getting shoulder aches from carrying my SLR and bag on one shoulder (my mom is probably wringing her hands as she reads this). A month ago I found this nude one at Zara during the start of the sale period in the perfect shade of nude pink and gold. June, my photographer, got it ages ago so she gets credit for spotting it first and I get credit for getting it $100 HKD cheaper.
Those jeans will no longer appear in photos as the tear that started at the crotch has eaten around the circumference of my thigh. I’m hiding the gaping hole with the back of my trusty gray T-shirt. RIP.
