Tassels were all over the runway this season, from Louis Vuitton’s patched maxi dresses to men’s loafers at Tom Ford. Some of my favorites- Diane Von Furstenburg’s delicate tassel belts and colorful chunky tassels seen hanging from handbags at Sonia Rykiel.
As seen on Chictopia
Chictopians are ahead of the tassel trend, wearing the style since as far back as last summer! HawaiiKidd paired a tasseled vest with his signature distressed denim shorts, while NanaHoshino wore a similarly colored tassel scarf. StyleNomad makes the trend work for day, and HausOfVanity works the tasseled look for a night out. Finally, MySaraHsb proves to be a girl after my own heart, creating a fabulous Rodarte-inspired tassel DIY.

You don’t have to spend money to stay trendy!
Materials: Yarn, thread, or strips of fabric; scissors; keychain, jump ring, or clip.
Steps 1-3: Wrap your chosen material around your hand or a piece of cardboard until you reach the desired thickness for your tassel.
Steps 4-6: Carefully remove wrapped material and use the tail to wrap around the top, leaving a small area of loops at the top and large loops at the bottom.
Steps 7-8: Cut the larger loops and tie one of the tails to the end of the tail at the top.
Step 9: Carefully slide the loops at the top through your ring or clip.
Step 10: Attach to a bag, shoes, necklace…the possibilities are endless!
