The entire math department at my school dressed up as the guy from Juno. I saw a girl in the hallways dressed as a rejection letter from Yale (ooh, scary). There were countless Jokers, superheroes and slutty nurses, and even two Sarah Palins. As for me… well, apparently a lot of people didn’t know what a flapper was. But I provided lots of entertainment by dancing around and making the fringes move (ie. 3rd picture.)
I made the dress out of an old t-shirt and a reel of tape from a video cassette, which turned out better than I thought and made this cool swishy effect when I walked. The only problem was that the tape got all crinkled and bent after a day of repeatedly sitting down and standing up, so the dress is now perfectly untouched in the front and completely ruined in the back. Kind of like a mullet, except in reverse and not nearly as nauseating.
