This girl blew us all away with her chicblog the last few months, showing a casual, chic, sophisticated and delicate style we all seem to love. However she is now a Chictopian starlet, AtlanticPacific is still Blair Eadie from the block. A very approachable, helpful and lovely lady, who we all love and adore.

Blair, why did you decide to join Chictopia? I saw almost all the bay area bloggers were involved and had links to Chictopia on their sites. I just signed up through another blogger one day and started posting!
You started out seven months ago, did you notice your style evolve during these months? I most definitely did see my style evolve. I do not think my style has changed dramatically, but it is funny how once you start photographing yourself in your outfits daily you all of a sudden notice styling you thought was flattering for your body shape not to be so complimentary and other elements working surprisingly well! It has been small tweaks along the way that have helped me to push my sense of fashion forward.
I love that thought! What defines your signature style? A mini dress, heels and loads of jewelry. I think I am only half dressed until I pull out what will accessorize my look.
How would your best friends describe you as a person? Quirky. I have a very strange sense of humor and interest in incredibly odd things.
Which makes your personality similar to mine :) Do you share your taste with your friends? It is interesting because my friends from college as well as back home have very classic, sophisticated taste, which I adore. The friends I have made in San Francisco typically all work in fashion merchandising or design and have the most amazing west coast sense of fashion. I am a lucky girl: all of my friends are stylish, but also happen to be some of the most open, non-judgmental group of people. They support my fashion extremes and sometimes we all get a good laugh when I take it one step too far.
How did you become interested into fashion and the fashion blogosphere? I work in fashion and peruse blogs as part of my trend research. I always considered starting my own blog, but it wasn’t until Andrew suggested it and urged me to that I did. As many of you know when you are creating original content for your blog you need a second helping hand- without Andrew I would have never been able to start this venture.
Was there a period in time when you noticed your popularity increasing? While some bloggers pin point a moment in time they saw a spike, I feel that I have had more of a steady climb. I have seen many followers join after fabulous ladies such as Kate from O-My-Heart, Rebecca from See You In Sweden, or Kim from Brunette Blogging feature my looks or interview me and link back to the site. I think that is one of the most touching aspects I have discovered about the blogging world is how supportive, positive and kind 99% of the bloggers are out there. Especially those 3 ladies!
Did you ever expect to be a style icon by January? I don’t think I ever expected to be a style icon… When I first joined Chictopia I would look at these fabulous girls who were style icons, VIPs and had thousands of points and always thought I would never achieve that. What I really hoped to achieve through starting a blog and joining an online community was to help grow and evolve my style. I feel that I am working towards that every day, so the fact that I was named a style icon along the way was beyond fantastic.
Do you have tips for me and other Chictopians in order to improve their styles and maybe even become style icons? I think the most important thing is to be yourself and while it may be hard at times, not get over inspired by someone else’s look or sense of style. I think it is important to have your own voice, and while you may indulge in a trend that is popular what is your specific twist on it?
I find my daily inspiration from all the bloggers I follow and Chictopia. Sometimes it is as simple as seeing someone in a very nautical chic outfit and I all of a sudden am inspired to wear stripes back to a skirt I had never thought to!
That must be the best advice I ever heard, is there a trend for spring 2011 you especially are looking forward to? I am obsessing over novelty shorts lately so I cannot wait for all of the printed woven and textured shorts to come this spring. I also look forward to the new vibrant print expression that kicks off spring/summer. I am specifically feeling for the very blush tone neutral grounded prints with tons of pop. Eyelet was also huge on the runways- so I am hoping to find some really interesting takes on that trend in the coming months, both in new silhouettes as well as actual novelty eyelet fabrications.
It’s your boyfriend that takes the pictures, do you have some tips in order to make the pictures appear as light and airy as they do? I use a Canon Rebel T1i camera, with the original lens. I do use photoshop at times to give my pictures a different look or feel I am going for, but try not to manipulate them too much. I think the most important aspect in capturing quality photos is the natural lighting. I make sure to take pictures between 2 and 3pm to get a softer look. It also helps that my boyfriend has a creative eye and natural knack for photography!
Thank you so much for these inspiring words. Congratulations, once more, for the title of Chictopian Style icon! My dear readers, I hope you enjoyed knowing more about AtlanticPacific, like I did and thank you all for reading!!
