Back in my high school days my friends coined the term “Akiko’s closet” after they all realized my wardrobe was the go-to place to find what to wear. The term has stuck with me since as I’ve grown and strived to make my love for fashion a part of my career.

Clothing, styling, and trends are what excite me. My passion for this field is what drives me and I’ve always felt like I just get it. For me, outfitting is like an art, a form of self-expression and also a challenge to constantly reinvent what I see and like. My only hope is that I can make it my business one day.

Given the chance to become a Blowfish editor, I could express my love for all things fashion as well as for a brand I feel akin to. And who knows, maybe even bring a little bit of Akiko’s Closet to everyone else.
