Is it true that the shoes make the girl? For Cinderella it was. Her destiny was based upon the fit of a certain shoe, a glass slipper to be exact. When I was younger and would watch Cinderella, I remember being at the edge of my seat when Cinderella’s evil step sisters tried on the glass slipper. I was so scared that they would pick the wrong girl. But I‘ve learned that nothing can stand in the way of you and your destiny. Cinderella was the perfect fit and I’m the perfect fit for Blowfish’s Zine Style Queen. From basketball, to gymnastics, to cheerleading, to graphic design, I’ve always been searching for my niche. Fashion has been my only passion that has given me a sense of belonging. Cinderella didn’t belong as a maid, being hidden from the world. She had so much more to give and was destined to be a princess. She just needed a fairy godmother to turn her plain yellow pumpkin into a golden carriage. I guess you could say that I’m Cinderella. I’m just waiting for a fairy godmother to see the potential in me, to believe in me, to change my pumpkin into a beautiful carriage, to dress me in fabulous shoes and send me off into the fashion world. The chance to be guest editor, would change my world and make my dreams come true. Blowfish, I hope that you will change my favorite Blowfish Gilt Shoes into glass slippers. I’m the perfect fit!
