This lovely pastel nanna dress with ridiculously volumnious sleeves was another vintage treasure from eBay.
I love that it’s almost too over the top.
I love that it has been meticulously sewn together, probably by a craftastic nanna somewhere in the world.
I wore this outfit yesterday for a huge day planned.
First we checked out this rock+roll festival that is on over the long weekend, it is amazing! All these old vintage cars driving around, stages set up in the streets with old school rock + roll bands, and all the old rockabillys get dressed head to toe in 50’s gear. Yep, amazing! (Basically picture a scene from Grease, and it looks like that; but in real life!) To top it off, there is a huge rock + roll market, with fantastic vintage stalls as well as new handmade 50’s style stalls. So like a kid in a candy store, a bit of shopping was definitely in order!
Then I met up with some girlfriends for the SATC movie. Stoked we could get tickets and even more stoked when I found out it was going for 2.5 hours! Ahh, I could watch SATC without sound, it’s like a feast for the eyes thanks to Pat Fields. Cheers to her brilliance. Then after that delight, we headed out for dinner + drinks to top off this spectacular day.
A million super things squished into one day made for the best Saturday I’ve had in awhile.
* And in true nanna style: dress, shoes, bag, jewellery – all vintage.

gorgeous dress color!
