I decided to pull myself out of my house to engage in then-undetermined activities. I ended up buying a new lens (!!) and eating Japanese food with my mom. I’ve never tried udon noodles prior to today, but they are so good. I’m mystified that I’ve never been delighted to have tried anything with them.
I feel that these photos display snowy-winter-mid-Atlantic suburbia pretty well… shoveled snow, an excessive amount of salt, fading light. I’m very partial to warmer weather – anything below 60 degrees is questionable, and anything below 45 is simply too damn cold. I’m very prone to falling into bouts of depression during winter, so I try my hardest to brave the unfavorable weather, and if possible, embrace it with my goose-bump covered arms (metaphorically, of course).
Today was somewhat mild, comparatively. I managed to run back and forth from my camera with little coldness touching my skin, perhaps thanks to my new coat. I always have trouble finding coats… they’re either too boxy, too tight, too thin, too ugly, or made of wool. I spotted this gem on Modcloth and crossed my fingers that it was synthetic – and bingo. Ended up as a Christmas gift from my dear mom!
I hope all is well, and that none of you have self-induced cabin fever.
