When living in an area with cold, harsh winters, it’s imperative to properly arm yourself with not only warm clothing and accessories, but items that stand out among the rest. I use the winters as an opportunity to dress myself in a fun print that ties in well with my neutral wardrobe and style with edgy accessories like my favorite (and practical) Jeffrey Campbell boots. It keeps my feet out of the snow and the tread helps keep my clumsiness at bay. Since it’s easy to lose the shape of a figure in a thick, winter coat, I added a ribbon belt to cinch in at the waist. A classic black glove keeps my hands warm and just finishes off the whole look that I can transition from work to a night out with my friends.
But what do I love most about my winter look? The coat. The coat ties in my black accessories and makes it easy for me to leave an event or restaurant at lightning speed since I can spot my coat out amongst the bland coats on the racks. The coat serves a dual purpose of style and the ability to stand out among the rest.
