Yes. I am truly envious of people who live somewhere other than Indiana right now! IT WON’T STOP SNOWING. And my face in this picture even shows how unnerved I am by this! haha.
I am actually from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and can not WAIT to get back to the warmth as soon as I can fly home for winter break. My flight is Saturday! I was supposed to have to wait that long because my Shakespeare final was supposed to be Friday evening, but my impatient class of townies who wanted to drive home earlier, had it moved to today. That’s right. A FINAL ON A SUNDAY! UGH. Now that this final is over, I have a paper due tuesday, and then I am finished with all but one of my semesters of university. Scarrrrrrrry! So I’m stuck here for a week in this crazy snow land! :-(
Our Shakespeare class performed our final scenes today for an especially small audience not only because of the snow, but also because it was Sunday and everyone else is preparing for their finals on real days of finals week! (I’m not bitter, what?) But we are required to dress up in ‘rehearsal costume’ when we perform—men in shirts and ties, ladies in dresses, or long-length skirts and heels—so this was my costume that I put together for my character, Hero, from “Much Ado About Nothing.” Hero as a character is very shy, but also very clever, and has an air of naivete and sweetness about her throughout the play. The scene I was doing was a more playful one that included some gossip, so I chose this bright, little girly dress.
I appologize for the picture quality, but you’ll have to blame the skies over Indiana as much as I am right now. Excuse me while I go turn the heat up in my house to 80 degrees and pretend I am home. SHEESH.
