Inaka Life

The plaid fad has exploded in Japan, although I think like many fashion trends it was here before the West because I’ve seen many a grannie and middle-aged woman rocking the look. Of course the grannies have the most street cred when they do.

I ran into one of my junior high students in this outfit. Although not particularly controversial, I feel like she’s seen that I live a double-life — I’m truly a city girl just trying to fit into the inaka (countryside) life.
