Tell the world that I’m coming home. (; I’m back Chictopia! I’m sorry it’s been such a long time since I’ve updated. I’ve been so busy with school. It’s about to get even busier though! Finals. D:< And since I’m back, I figured that I’d enter into this contest. I’ve been eyeing it for the past month, but never had the chance to take pictures.
What City Inspired My Look and Why: I would say that I am inspired by many cities; my hometown (Newark), the Bay Area, more specifically San Francisco and San Jose, and New York City. These cities inspire me because there’s such a great city life, where you can go shopping in different plazas, and eat at so many different amazing places. I’m inspired by all the different cultures, and people. In these places, people are able to express themselves freely. My look was inspired by all these different places. My oversized cardigan (Newark), because here, it’s all about comfort, people walk around in sweats and tennis shoes all day. Thigh Highs inspired by SF, because it’s always cold enough to wear some stockings. This is where you’ll see people layering it up. New York inspired my main outfit, high waisted shorts over a jumper. I thought the silky romper gave the outfit a touch of classy (think Gossip Girl), and the shorts helped make it more casual.
