THIS is why I don’t usually smile with my mouth open. My teeth look rubbish! But I didn’t want to go back out and reshoot because it’s so cooooolllld and now there’s snow on my tripod :-(
This outfit is a bunch of things that I’m pretty in love with lately. I got this dress at a thriftstore in Chicago and while it’s comfy and simple from the front, the BACK is awesome! Good find? I’m also obsessed with We Love Colors at the moment, because I DO love colors, and who doesn’t? But I love ridiculously bright legwear even more. Knee socks are also fabulously in right now, which makes me really happy because I spent so much time wearing them in high school and getting made fun of, but now everyone wants ‘em! The best part of this outfit, though, might be the shoes. I entered a “Name it and Win It” contest at Modcloth.com (they’re adorable and awesome) and the name I chose for them was picked, so I was sent my very own free pair! So here are my nonfiction pumps. I always liked that my title stuck, because now this writer has her own writing heels. Every time I wear them to a writing class I get a secret chuckle out of it!
The purple ribbon belt is actually from a different dress, which I bought to wear to auditions in the theatre department (the other half of my major…) and you’ll see that in tomorrow’s post before my mock audition in class! I think it’s my new favorite dress.

Not only did my picture from yesterday end up on the homepage, but I am apparently also a ‘rising star’ candidate for style iconery! (we’ll see how long that luck lasts! hehe) I am so excited and gracious that I’ve gotten this many fans so quickly! Especially yesterday, when I was in a HUGE fight with a girl that I for a while called my bestfriend, it was really nice to come home and see people not only complimenting my outfits, but also being supportive of me as a person. All the comments we leave for everyone are TRULY lovely and we should be proud of ourselves for foremost being a community! Amazing job, everyone! Chictopians always know just what to say!!!! <3
