It rained in Manila today! Quite a surprise. It was still terribly hot though. Rain in the Philippines always confuses me as to what to wear. I’m the type of girl who wants to take advantage of cold weather whenever I can! I usually put out my stockings, boots, sweaters and scarves for such occasions. However I have come to know that around here, cool weather is but a temporary pleasure. So when I wear my wind-worthy apparel, I end up with sweat and regret! (ooh I just made a rhyme). That basically explains my simple and safe outfit over here. Breezy with the white dress (with the lovely ruffles down the center); but still insulating with my denim polo. The hat is quite versatile too. I just added a little spice by putting on my braided belt and of course, my never-failing bangle stack! Perfect for the moody weather, in my opinion.
On another note…looky here! It’s my new bowler hat! I thought it would be perfect to use on this day of confusing weather. Good for rain, good for shine yes? This hat was actually a birthday gift for me from Irvs. My birthday was way back in august. The hat just arrived now though because of some trouble with the post office :P But I’m so happy I got it! I’ve wanted a bowler hat for so long. Its really difficult to find one in the Philippines. Most of the girls here who have one seem to get it from ebay or ordered somewhere on the internet. It’s a simple black bowler hat! I know its nothing new in the style department, but definitely a staple that can add so much to an outfit! So yeah, I’m soo excited to use it some more!
