I was immediately drawn to the print on this top when I spied it at the thrift store. It’s full of blue and red diamonds with black zigzaggy stripes behind them. Not to mention it has this amazingly pointy 70’s collar on it. For whatever reason, there’s no tag so I have no clue where it came from, but it certainly reminds me of something Mike Brady would wear. It’s just so loud and fun I couldn’t pass it up. Not to mention it was 50 cents.
My red wool skirt was 50 cents too and it needed absolutely no tailoring. All it needed was a good dry cleaning! I was thrilled to add this skirt to my growing collection of red items. As I’ve said before, there’s just something about red. It’s bold, fun, and makes an outfit interesting. I already have a red skirt, but I was glad to have a red skirt made for the cooler weather.
I have to admit, my legs were a bit chilly today. I just liked how this outfit looked with bare legs so much that I left them that way! It wasn’t freezing outside though so I was okay! If it gets cooler and I want to wear this outfit I’ll probably add some white tights.
Check out the close up picture to see my cool 80’s earrings. They’re red, pointy spirals. Of course they’re from my mom. The necklace is from the Great Grandma collection. It goes with so many outfits it’s becoming a jewelry staple for me. You gotta love free vintage jewelry!
