So today, it actually snowed here in the south of England. It snowed quite a lot for us actually – roughly 7 inches in total.
Who would have thought that one night and day of snow could cause so much disruption to a city? Well it did, It has caused so much to the whole of the UK actually. I mean, Russia gets snow 10 times worse than us and they can still get on with their everyday lifes. All of the schools were closed for today, and also tomorrow as it is going to be so icy – all the cars are skidding and having accidents where the roads aren’t being gritted and no body seems to be going to work? Everybody looks at snow like it is a bad thing… I know it can be dangerous but i love it! I go to college and have a job but i don’t get anywhere as annoyed as a lot of people. What is so wrong with snow? I think it is beautiful :)
Anyway, this is what i wore today – as all school/college/univerity was closed for the day, we decided to walk (not drive) to the town center to finish our christmas shopping. I have never shopped so quick as their were hardly any queues because people avoided leaving their houses. I wore my boots which are the best things i ever bought as they are perfect for the snow, warm feet all day and they had amazing grip! I am actually wearing a lot of layers but they are all hidden… i have tights on under my leggings, under my socks… a top under my dress – with a cardigan over and my warm fleece thrifted coat :) I wanted to wear something slightly bright and happy (my dress) as the day was pretty dull – it started to get dark at 4pm…
So tomorrow i am looking forward to the worlds largest ice rink that has taken over our city…
I am looking forward to catching up on your outfits!
