I bought my entire outfit at my beloved Buffalo Exchange, a second hand and vintage store that originated in Tucson, Arizona. I’d been shopping at the one in Austin, TX for awhile, and eventually worked a short time there. I find the most brilliant things there, every time I’m in the store – it is like one big fashion treasure hunt. Each item I’m wearing was purchased at different times, and the perfect outfit eventually came together.
The Moschino Cheap & Chic skirt is one of my best finds at Buffalo Exchange. It’s pure silk and made in Italy, all of the goodness and none of the expense. I got that for a mere $17. The black lace tank was $5, and the heart shaped necklace which always makes me feel so lovely when I wear it, was $10. The only non-second hand item in my outfit are the denim bow wedges, which is from Buffalo Exchange, but part of their new merchandise, and only $30.
I wore this special secondhand outfit to a photo shoot I did with my husband, which was originally an outfit shoot, but turned into more of a celebration of our marriage. While I love trading and exchanging clothes, there are some things which I’ll keep forever, and this outfit is no exception.
There are more photos of the shoot on my blog, http://tranish.blogspot.com/
