And after like months and months, I wear jeans again!
I’m always just in leggings, skirts and dresses lately!
I’ve been loving that song Karma Coma by Massive Attack & Tricky…I’ve been hearing it on S/S 2009 Runways recently and I love it… I don’t really know why since I’m not the typical chill-lackadaisical girl but the beat got to me…
Anyway, wore this to watch Nights at Rodanthe with my brother, his girl, mum and my boy. BLAH is all I can say. It’s just so tragic. I wasn’t up for the whole drama sentimental gut-wrenching sob stories. So I ended up poking fun at the plot to avoid sighing and snoozing since they weren’t even interesting clothes in the movie. Give me a Ben Stiller movie any day!
The top was kind of big on me since my penchant for not “being in the mood” to try has got to me and I ended up getting it in two sizes bigger than that which I wear. Since it’s a poncho-esque top, I cinched it with a belt and VOILA! It fit me perfectly! I love the miracle belts can do to any outfit! Which is why I am almost never without one.
I played up the checkered black, purple, beige, gray checkered knit top with beige excessories (I love Rachel Zoe’s terminology) and I found a pair of beige lace-ish mary jane pumps in my vast closets of shoes. I have like 7 cabinets devoted to my shoes so I decided to take polaroid pictures of each and stick them outside the box, that way I remember what’s in each shoe box. Hey, a girl has got to get organized right? And my resourceful trick got me places since I would’ve totally not remembered I even had these.
Hope I made it worked.
I gave the top to my mom after since it fitted her better and I’d love to see it on her as well.
I might just borrow for future use!
XOXO
