So I’ve been trying to figure out how to get pictures from this wedding I went to last month. The only person who took pictures of me in my dress was the wedding photographer and he wanted $12 for one print!! Luckily, my boyfriend’s cousin (the bride) posted all the pictures on her Facebook. Right click! Save! Yesss!
So I think I’ve talked about this dress before. It belonged to my boyfriend’s grandmother and now it has been handed down to me. It’s beautiful and fits perfectly. It’s one of those super lucky finds that also comes with sentiment built in :)
My boyfriend’s grandmother, Letty, bought it in Bermuda when she was stationed there with her husband. She saw it in the commissary and was considering buying it, but didn’t pick it up. When she noticed another navy wife looking at it, she told the shop clerk that she would like to buy it and asked to have it sent to her lodgings immediately. Women are so funny.
Side notes: The wedding was at this old plantation house, who’s interior was entirely in red and black. It clashed so badly with the wedding colors of teal and peach!!
