Don’t worry, I tried to be gentle. And after that, we cuddled. Ok ok, seriously though, read the exclusive interview below. Love her!
Tell us about yourself, your style, your bad habits, and dirty secrets?
Well, I’m an eighteen year girl from the dreary suburbs. I’m a singer and a dancer and I was signed to Geffen Records. I have an absolute passion for music. In fact, the perfect day would consist of countless hours in the recording studio, writing, and composing. I am also currently enrolled at FIDM, majoring in apparel manufacturing. I would love to own a clothing company one day, as well as a Mexican restaurant. So that is where I am now, trying to reach my dreams, day by day.
If I were to describe my style I’ d say it’s classically undone with a twist of androgyny meets femininity. One thing I’ve always believed in is looking rather composed. It just makes life so much more vibrant and fun. I love vintage finds, preferably vintage blazers and dresses. I also really love wearing things numerous amount of times until they fall apart.
Some of my embarrassing bad habits include biting my nails (my boyfriend finds it rather indecent), occasionally forgetting to shave my legs, and drinking apple juice out of the carton..random I know. Hmm, dirty secrets?…Well being that I’m only eighteen years old, I haven’t really accumulated a storybook of dirty secrets, but I’ll let you know when my first naughty tale comes to light.
What got you to start documenting your outfits?
What do you enjoy the most about sharing your outfit photos with others?
Well it’s pretty awesome knowing that other bloggers find interest in my outfit posts. I’ve also received a few emails about how fashion was intimidating due to their fuller figure. It was pretty cool to know that my blog has encouraged the idea of not abiding by the fashion’s industry perception of what body type is considered “fashionable”.
Any tri-pod tips?
Actually, I really need to purchase a tri-pod because I think my dearest father is getting quite annoyed of taking pictures of me. He can actually imitate my poses…pretty pathetic.
Who’s your source of inspiration on Chictopia?
[…] Despite the fact that I am more of a “minimalist” kind of girl, I really admire those who can wear bright and funky outfits with such confidence. It is refreshing to see girls who don’t confide to the typical way of dressing.
What advice do you have for others just starting out on Chictopia?
My simple fashion advice for new Chictopians is just accept your flaws. If you have thicker thighs, wear short shorts! If you’re super tall, wear your most striking platforms! My mom always says, people will only see what you let them see. If you wear your clothes with confidence, then people will see a confident person.
