Dressing has seemed like a chore recently. Whenever I have inspiration for an outfit, I’ll usually write it down on a post-it and leave it on my bedside table to peruse when I’m dressing. Yet, a few days later when I review my growing stack of post-its, the idea bombs. Of course, it’s true something might look great in your head but once it’s on your body it’s a different story entirely. Recently, I’ve been feeling frustrated mostly that I appear way younger than I actually am. Granted, I know in 10 years I’ll be glad for my youthful visage, but right now it definitely feels like a hindrance. Most people believe I’m about 16, and then have a look of shock when I break the news I’m actually 25. Whoops.
To break this problem, I’m trying to mix up my “school-girl” attire with some more modern, stylish pieces, like this bowler hat and motorcycle jacket. Have any tips for me on shedding my outward naiveté?
