my mother bought me this insanely cozy angora/wool sweater from aritzia while visiting me. i feel like i could wear this out during iowa winter, without a coat, and still feel warm and cozy. (okay, that would never happen…)
when you grow up and live far away from family, you start to notice little similarities you share. my mom and i both love morning coffee and people watching from our windows. we both will talk for hours at dinner, even after we’ve finished our meal. we can immediately pass out after finding a comfortable spot in a chair. and we have this laugh where we laugh so hard that we shake and smile, but make no noise. i am totally my mother’s daughter.
i wore this on a day of shopping on haight street. you could clearly read on one muni passenger’s face “oh dear, where are your pants?” i have a short torso for my height, so i can typically do the ‘shirt as a dress’ look. and these sheer american apparel shirts are a perfect length to pull it off.
