Wow. It’s been exactly one year since I really dedicated myself to this blog. Well, I’ve been blogging since the summer of 2008, but it wasn’t until exactly this time last year that I made it a priority to really commit to it, not only for myself, but for the people I hoped to connect with through it. This blog started out just as a way for a college girl who loved fashion to escape from the monotony of schoolwork and to express her creativity in a way that she never experienced before. I blogged because I loved writing about fashion. It was that plain and simple. At the time, I had no idea of the existence of personal style blogs other than The Sartorialist, but some research changed all that . . . and here I am now. My blog has undergone many renovations and bloomed a lot since its start, but I now feel that I have found my groove with this whole blogging thing and I am very happy to be where I am with it right now. I wouldn’t change a thing. This past year has been full of exciting and good experiences, many of which have been a result of this blog, and I feel so grateful to have each and every one of you a part of it all. It is because of you that I feel very proud to say that I am a fashion blogger. I don’t know where I would be right now without this unique online community that is so huge, inspiring, and full of supportive people. My blogging experience has magically changed my path in life and the way I view my sense of style. I have grown so much because of this blog. Never before would I have thought I would have had a chance to work in fashion until now. Now I know that dreams really can come true, so I will keep on pursuing them. And not only have I become more confident with what I wear, but also with who I am as a person. I finally feel like I am heading in the right direction and it’s a beautiful feeling. I am so happy that I am able to share my perspective on fashion with you all, as well as get to know a little bit about each of you at the same time. It really means the world to me. So let’s all keep on blogging and doing what we love so this astonishing phenomenon keeps on going and growing. I hope to stick around here for as long as I can, and I hope you all decide to, as well. Thank you for reading my blog and kisses to you all :)
This outfit is part of a ModCloth collaboration I was a part of. I styled these pieces based on the musical genre of rock.
