This girl has been our covergirl since a week now. Each post get’s to be on first page and everyone just loves her style. She has a blog and tumblr with gorgeous fashionshots and interesting remarks. Time to learn more about this new Chictopian; beware_of_my_heels.
Why did you decide to join Chictopia? I had lookbook first and I really loved it. A friend asked me if I had Chictopia too but at that time I didn’t know what it was. She explained the concept to me and that’s when I decided to join. I just love fashion communities like Chictopia and lookbook. And I’m always happy to see people appreciating what I do and wear.
You’re already in the list of possible style icons.
How did you get there that fast? Am I? Hmm, I don’t know. I was surprised that I got so many chic points in a short amount of time. I don’t really know how. But it is very cool that people like what I’m doing and that they vote for me. It would make me very happy to become a Chictopian style icon, because the fashion scene in Switzerland is very poor and if you dress special and different, others will judge you and whisper behind your back. It’s a real pity! You need to be a strong person to dress a bit eccentric in Switzerland. What I mean is, it is great to hear that people like what I wear without judging me! It feels like such a confirmation!
I recognize what you’re saying about Switzerland, it is exactly the same in Belgium. How would your best friends describe you as a person? Hmm, how would they describe me? Friendly, helpful and funny.
And your taste in fashion? Honestly, I don’t think my best friends really like the way I dress. They often say something like: “Uuh, why are you so dressed up, we’re only going to chill out?” or something like that. I guess they often think that I need the attention, but hey I don’t! It is just my style and to me it is nothing special at all. They are typical Swiss people, but they do accept me as I am and I love them for that! :)
The only one who does understand my style and shares my taste is eatme4breakfast! She’s great, I guess she’s the only one I can talk about fashion with!
I love all your pieces. Where do go shopping? I love shopping everywhere and I always check out many stores, the ones I usually dislike included (sometimes they also have great items!). There is no specific favorite city yet, but I need to go shopping in London, I have never been there unfortunately. I might go for this New Years Eve though, I’m looking forward to that!
Back to your question: I love online shops f.e. Asos, VS and Topshop, but I don’t really order (except for Asos) because I don’t own a credit card… My favorite store is H&M, most of the items I wear on my pictures are either from H&M or ZARA :)
Where do you find your daily inspiration? Chictopia, magazines and people on the streets! I often see something worn by someone on the street and think “Daaaamn, I have to own that. It would look so good with this or that”.
Which trend for fall 2010 were you most excited about? Fur, definitely fur! But please don’t wear real fur! Have you ever seen how the animals suffer from birth until death in order to produce a real fur coat? Faux fur is so much better!
This fall there are so many trends I like. Especially the colors (camel for example),
I also like the leather trends, satchels and the shoe trends for this fall!
You recently started your own blog and you’ve been fashion blogging on tumblr for a while now. What makes your blog stand out from other blogs? What makes my blog stand out from other blogs? Good question. I don’t know, I guess it will be full of fashion but I just started (not even) a month ago, so there are not so many things up at the moment. I also recently started a new one at blogspot. Make sure to check it out!
I would like to request people to start following me in order to support me, more followers would mean more posts. Because why should I write posts when nobody reads them? :) If you are interested in fashion you’ll like it! How would you describe your personality using only five words. Ah that’s always so difficult. But I think: Friendly, helpful, funny, sometimes a bit silly and a bit shy
