I’m sure many of you saw this blazer up on Chic Rewards. It was posted in May and all summer, flooded with comments of varying opinions.
Many said…
“Why is this 4000 points?!"
“Not my style…”
and, more recently…
“I feel bad for this poor blazer…”
I had been watching the blazer for a while, and I had begun to feel bad for it too. I started to see what the blazer could become, with a bit of love and embellishment. So, one day, quite spontaneously, I decided I would redeem it once I had gathered enough points.
I am so glad that I did, and that I am now able to share with you this (hopefully) inspiring story, of “the blazer that time forgot.”
Lately, I’ve been inspired by the recent military trend and strong/embellished shoulders trend of seasons past, so I used vintage watches, chains, and pins that I’ve collected over the years to embellish the shoulder area of the blazer. Found objects are great items for DIY embellishment, as they are so unique and may even have a story behind them. And you can be sure that no one else has the same piece that you do!
So, I encourage you all to check out Chic Rewards. It’s such a great program, because we, Chictopians, are able to get free stuff for simply doing what we love- taking pictures of, writing, and talking about fashion. It’s so easy to feel protective of your “hard-earned” chic points, but I think we could all benefit from being spontaneous. If you like something, or even have an idea for it, and you can afford it, redeem it! Chic rewards are delivered promptly and are true to description, so get redeeming!
Can’t wait to see what you come up with!
