I may be the only one on the planet that still wears pointy toes and kitten heels, but I don’t mind. There’s something feminine and soft about it that I love.
On Thursday, I went over to my hair stylist for my wash and sorts (I’m sure she’s reading this..lol). As always, we started talking about fashion. We both have a deep love for vintage. I mentioned how fascinated I am about the 50s, 60s & 70s era.
She showed me pictures of a recent shoot she did for a magazine, in which she had the honor of styling. It was ALL vintage. 60s dresses. Sigh! Suddenly she paused and said, “Folake, I have a dress for you, that you would love. It has a bow on the back”. I started to ask tons of questions. I was hyper. Lol. Is it long? short? long sleeve? short sleeve? round neck? boat neck?. “Calm down”, she said.
“J” went to get the dress, and I fell in love with, though, I was thinking to myself. This is freaking tiny.. I can’t possibly fit in it. Fit or not, I had to have it. Hahaha. I rushed home, tried on the dress, walked out to the living room and hubby goes, “DAMN”!!! That’s all. I’m wearing it on Sunday to Church. Can’t wait to show you.
In the interim, please enjoy these pics. That’s a pair of leggings I have on, by the way. Rolled ‘em up to channel the 60s era, but with a modern twist. I have dusted my collection of kitten heels. Can’t wait to wear them all. Off to a full day of get-togethers. First one is family, so have to be there early. xo
