Shawl-neck sweaters

Of all the trends green-lighted by the style seers this fall, I am most in favour of the shawl-neck sweater.

This particular number from Cheap Monday ruins perfection by adding velcro to the mix, but as it is barely noticeable I will forgive them this one glaring mistake.

More to the point the shawl-neck sets itself apart by first offering a viable third option other than the crewneck or overworked v-neck. It adds a touch of fisherman’s class to the casual outfit. And, most importantly in my mind, it works great with a bowtie.
