There is always a downside to dressing up, some of us choose to not mind it while others will eventually conform. What I’m trying to talk about is the nasty stares one gets when trying to express themselves through clothing.
I wore this to school the other day and you can’t imagine how many heads turned to give me the “WTF” face due to the green pants. At first I got conscious because people don’t really wear these kinds of things everyday and to top of the consciousness two girls literally passed in front of me gave the elevator look and laughed. I then, by instinct, just gave them the i-really-dont-care-what-you-think look and it hit me.. I really didn’t care about what others said about what I wore. How we dress is a form of expression and I feel bad for all the people who dress up each day and get judged for it, but happy that though they do they don’t care :)
This blog entry is for all those out there who stick to their style and don’t care about what others think of them :) Good for you!!
PS: I’m doing a shoutout to Steph (http://chictopia.com/Platforms_Cupcakes) Thank you again for the making me part of your interview! It’s really so awesome that fellow chictopians can inspire each other and reading that really inspired me me as well! Thank you! :)
