Temperature Paradox

Last week I stubbornly clung to the notion that fall was starting. This week I totally gave up and caved in to the weather. And it’s definitely still summer. I found these shorts at Buffalo Exchange the other month and never wore them. I don’t know why, but I feel uncomfortable wearing shorts to work. With the intense heat though, shorts felt justified. My aunt gave me these shoes years ago. She didn’t want them anymore. Who was I to refuse? I love the blue color of the wedge and the black and white stripes around the edge.

I have a few button-down shirts in my closet, but this one was inspired by Debra Morgan from “Dexter.” She really rocks the button-down and slacks and plaid. I think this magenta color would be right at home in Miami.
