The title is extremely nerdy, but we love Back To The Future, so there it goes. This outfit photo is actually from Thursday but we had a test to study for so it had to wait to be uploaded. On to the details..
Daniel I love this H&M sweater, it’s such an amazing color. Something that is not classically beautiful or aesthetically pleasing but it’s such a unique and vivid hue. I decided to pair it with a big oversized blazer because I just wanted to keep the comfort level up and not have to worry about the outfit being too constrictive. Although I wanted to keep the comfort all the luxe fabrics and rich colors kept the outfit from looking lazy. Used some bright yellow socks to keep an interesting color story going through the outfit and decided to wear some black loafers that I barely wear. I really enjoy this look and it comes off a bit like a school uniform mixed with 1980s inspired boldness. The bag is my mom’s vintage Coach satchel to even further emphasize the 80s feel.
Iris Daniel wore this dress/shirt on Monday and I have the same one. I think it’s a really great way to show how pieces work for both of us even though our styles are so different. At the beginning of the day I wore the dress completely buttoned and had this dark blue skirt underneath just for safety, but really liked the texture and material of it so I decided to unbutton the dress and have the skirt show through. It’s odd because it actually looks a bit like the material of Daniel’s blazer. Tans and browns are my favorite neutrals and this jacket is so perfect. Originally I wanted to wear the dress with a trench coat but it seemed too light, airy, and “daffodil” girly for me so I went with a darker jacket that was on the shorter side.
