Tuesday! Today was really calm, had an assembly about school rules and safety that happens at the beginning of every year. Yawn. Didn’t do much today, and homework is on the minimum, so that’s good!
Daniel I love. LOVE. these jeans. I’ve been wanting some “bell bottoms” for a while now, and I’m completely embracing Fall 2010’s flares trend. It makes you look impossibly tall, especially with tall shoes, and looks really fresh among monotonous skinny jeans. I decided to keep this look really classic and simple, opting for breton stripes and a khaki blazer to tie it all together. The brown belt really adds needed warmth to the outfit and keeps the look from being too basic. I decided that although I love classic looks and simple pieces, I needed something to push this outfit a bit over the edge. Creepers are so unconventional, that they pair perfectly with this outfit. For one, they are just a bit punk which makes the outfit 2 parts preppy, 1 part punk, an amazing recipe for chic. And two, they add height which makes the look even more dramatic with the jeans. I also love how this jacket has functioning sleeve buttons, so unique and I love leaving them open sometimes.
Iris The idea of wearing something risque in such a modest way is really interesting to me. The lace shirt and this cardigan are really beautiful together, the neutral tones are such a great combination. I decided to use a pop of color in form of this red skirt that I wear all the time. The mahogany tights are one of my favorite pairs, and that means a lot seeing as I have too many tights to count. I chose to wear them to bring more browns and neutrals to the outfit. Although everything else is in brown and beige tones, I decided to go with these two-toned flats from H&M. I’ve been wanting toe-capped flats forever and still am yearning for the Chanel ones (who doesn’t want them?). I’m not a big fan of ubiquitous items that everyone wants but those are an exception. Love the bright graphic contrast these black and white ones make on this very neutral outfit though. I was getting bored with my hair down so today it goes up, a bit different for me.
