As a young Floridian in high school, I used to think that being stylish was about fitting in, wearing the latest trend and generally looking like a walking Hollister ad. I never fit that ideal. I was always shopping at thrift stores for vintage clothing, little boys’ blazer and old man pants, so if you asked me for my take on fashion, I probably would have been at a loss for words. Years later, I’m making a living in the fashion industry and have realized that part of being a stylish sole is being yourself, and embracing your personal style. I always have a difficult time pinpointing my “style” and “occasion” on Chictopia, because all I want to put is “me” and “life.” No matter what I’m wearing, it’s all about what makes me feel like me – that’s what style is all about.
