I was overwhelmed by the cute comments and birthday wishes on my last post! Thank-you, Chictopians! You warm the cackles of my heart, (as my grandpa would have said.)

I am trying to take advantage of the tail end of summer’s warmth before fall on the coast sets in. I do live in the Pacific boreal rain forest, and while I know that a rain forest would not be possibly with rain, wet for six months of the year is not conducive to little skirts, bare legs, and most shoes.

I invested in a curling iron and am in the process of learning to curl my hair. It is not as easy as I thought! I may look up a YouTube tutorial or two – isn’t it nice how we can teach each other things so easily these days? Which reminds me, I still pine for a sewing machine of my very own! I can’t decide whether to take a class first to brush up on my high school skills or just pick up a moderately priced machine.

I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!

I just got a sewing machine from my mom, an old one but I think it'll be fine! I'm quite excited to start trying it out, but I need some good fabric first and there aren't any fabric shops around these parts! and YES I LOVE youtube tutorials of all kinds, I use a straightening iron to curl and it isn't really hard, but a lot depends on the temperature of the irons, resultwise.
