I am making it a goal of mine to shop thrift/vintage more often this year. Sometimes just the thought of walking into a mall makes me gag because I keep seeing the same thing over and over again, and I hate the idea of paying loads of cash for something that the girl next door could easily be sporting, as well. Funny, because the girl that lives next door to me only wears Abercrombie & Fitch sweat shorts (really, really short ones). I am seeing so many vintage-inspired looks on the runways so I know that this task is not going to be hard. My favorite pieces always turn out to be the ones that I find for a few bucks at the local thrift store anyways. It makes me happy to inject life once again into a piece of clothing that maybe wasn’t loved as much as it deserved to be before, like this electric red vintage blazer from my sponsor Ramona West. Plus, this fashion renewal trend is environmentally friendly, which is always a plus in my book. Still, once the sales start rolling back in, you can be sure to find me at my favorite shops, but only because I cannot help but love a good deal. Now, I am going to get back to catching up on the new season of America’s Next Top Model. This show is my only TV weakness. I am kind of excited for it because some of the girls are actually really tall, and lots of high fashion heavyweights are making appearances. I am totally loving Rhianna from San Diego. She’s 6’1", wears heels, and has a vintage bohemian air about her that I adore! I’m watching it on Youtube here. Oh, and I’ve caught a cold. Boo hoo . . . sniffle, sniffle.
