How to make vintage match your own style is something I’m very good at. In fact, there’s nothing I’m better at when it comes to fashion. Of course it takes a lot of practice to make it perfect but everyone can get that perfect “vintage look” if they want to.
First of all you have to find a good closet to search through (read: mother’s and father’s have the best ones, and if you have a stylish grandma – look through hers as well) -I always do that, it’s a good way to find great second hand items, and it costs you nothing.
Now when you’ve found the perfect piece of clothing, you style it up with matching accessories. Not too much. Keep it simple.
This vintage dress belonged to my mother in the 70’s – it looked good then and it looks even better now.
I decided to wear it with a knitted, white sweater and brown leather details – it gives you the perfect relaxed look and it will also keep you warm these chilly indian summer days.
Because relaxed is what every fashionista tries to achieve(to make it look as if though you couldn’t care less about what you wear) – but it takes a lot of work. Believe me.
And only the really good ones succeed. But with your parents clothes – it will be somewhat easier. Because they already look too big on you.
