This definitely induces a light as air and fresh as daisies feel with the subtlety and dainty pale pale pink!
I wanted a very neutral outfit for the day and since I did not really have any thing in particular to go to this day, I decided to try out a very muted outfit for a change, since it was going to be a very quiet night in… the top agenda in the list was DVD marathon and I wanted something I can move in but was also very feminine and girly. It was a breathe of fresh air from all the basic colors I’ve been wearing lately! I guess I am somewhat extremes in terms of where I place myself in the color palette but I always believed that this was what made dressing up or dressing down so much fun!
It was very hot today…which surprised me since I was somewhat used to the windy and cloudy weather. This was a very ‘tickled pink’ kind of look and I played up on beige and army green which were two of the undertones of my cotton pink and white paisley top.
The colors of my top remind me of ballet flats, the real ones they use for ballet, which is such a lovely lovely light shade of pink. Miraculously, I found shoes I have never used that go so perfectly with these colors! The brown accessories were my only dark color accent pieces and I’m glad I kept it that way. I think it kept the outfit more subtle and soft.
I know it’s a tad more simple than the clothes I’d normally wear but it was a very quiet day and night in and I loved how this entire outfit felt.
And I love that Pretty in Pink Molly Ringwald quote:
“I just want them to know that they didn’t break me. "
