Alexa Chung, known for her girly but rough and tumble style, has been a formidable force in the fashion world. Her ability to mix high (favouring Chanel and Balenciaga ) and low (she’s known to wear Topshop and a lot of vintage) in a unique way has won her many fans.

Alexa’s collaboration with Madewell dropped today, and is the stuff of dreams! Sweetly vintage inspired, but with a definitive modernity, this one will go like hotcakes! Who wouldn’t want a closet filled with delicate yet utterly wearable pieces?

My favorites are the Iris Blouse , the Harriet Dress , the Billie Shorts ,and of course, the Lydia Coat ! Velvet shorts and peter pan collars are just too good to be true. Are you excited for this collaboration? I know I am!

First of all, thanks! I'm usually pretty colloquial in my posts, so it was challenging (but nice) to use some of the vocabulary that's floating around my brain, ha ha! I checked out the Tucker after you commented, the prints are really cute! I live farther away from the border now so I don't think I'll get to take advantage of this one :(

i love her collection even though it's pretty expensive. But, I like it still. She's a great inspiration.

Yep, that's basically the exact way I use any sort of high end inspiration :D sometimes it's not even the particular pieces I try to find, I'll just try and emulate the vibe. Alexa is an inspiration on ANY field, so this sweet collection is no exception!

Agreed, but I'm super inspired to thrift/buy items similar to these in other stores. I really really liked the feel of the collection, that's why I posted about it even though it's wayyy out of my price range.

AH-MAY-ZING. Can't even handle how much we NEED everything from this collection. Alexa Chung is lovely and such an inspiration. Great post Lydia! :D PS. Iris needs the Iris Blouse. It just has to happen

I wish I could afford this collection! I love anything Alexa Chung-inspired, so naturally, I love this! Madewell has some great stuff, it's just too expensive for me :(
